It seems Facebook have decided to give businesses more tools this year. Yesterday I published an article about the new Facebook place tips and today I bring you another new feature. Services for Facebook pages.
Services For Facebook Pages
This one has already started to roll out. If, in your Facebook page settings you are listed as a service such as Local Business – Spa/Beauty/ Personal care or pet care or professional services then the good news is that Facebook has already made this available to you.
Facebook have said in an announcement that they will be also rolling this out to other industry sectors shortly along with a shop feature for retailers. So let’s take a look at this great new feature.
How To Add Services And Prices To Your Facebook Page
Whenever you’re adding new features to Facebook you’re always better to use a laptop or desktop computer instead of a mobile device.
On your Facebook page, click ‘About’ and then page info. Check that your category is Local Business and then choose a service page, As previously mentioned, as I write this article I know that it’s currently rolled out for Spas/Beauty/Personal Care and some others so I’ll use this as an example.
Once your category is set you’ll notice a new section on your page menu called ‘Services’, click on that.
This will then take you to this screen. Let’s click the blue button to start adding services.
You’ll see that you’re able to add a Name, a description, a price and an image for each service offered. It’s extremely simple to do and is ideal for those who don’t already have a website as it enables them to list all their services and prices.
Facebook allows you to use images that you’ve already uploaded to your page or you can upload images directly from your computer.
You can simply go on to add as many services as you like, once you’re done, click on the publish switch in the left column to go live. Your services will now be pinned to the top of your Facebook page for all your page visitors to see.
Remember, Facebook have announced that they’ll be rolling out a similar shop feature very shortly for products. You’ll see an update to the mobile app soon that will take advantage of these new features. Read through the official Facebook page for more information. If you’ve found this useful then please share it with others. Remember to check out my other Facebook tips.
